Erma Lean Johnson passed away on Friday, October 5, 2013 following a long illness. She was born in Searcy, Arkansas on March 16, 1934 to the late Ed and Joetta Johnson.
In her youth, she professed a faith in Christ at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where she toiled with the missionary society until her health failed. She served as a faithful and loyal member of Bethlehem Baptist church until her health failed.
She is survived by three sons, Rev. Curtis Johnson, Bobby Johnson (Janet), and Jesse Johnson; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives and close friends.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. Funeral services will be at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, October 12, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Gum Springs Cemetery.
