Rebecca Jean (Meyer) Carr, age 89 of Searcy, passed from this life on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at her home. She was born July 23, 1931 at Cotton Plant, Arkansas to John Nicholus Meyer and Mary Jewel (Owen) Meyer. She was a housewife and a member of the Baptist faith. She is survived by one son, Clinton Carr and wife Teddy of Searcy; five grandchildren, Brian Carr of Beebe, Cody Carr and wife Hailey of Conway, Kimberly Johnson and husband Lee of Heber Springs, Timothy Harrison and wife Tiffany of Searcy, Joshua Harrison of Floral; twelve great-grandchildren, Lindsey Poulnott and husband Curtis of Heber Springs, Aaron Johnson of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Courtney Bryan and husband Mat of Roise Bud, Jennings Johnson and husband Michael of Clermont, Florida, Hayden Johnson of Heber Springs, Joe Kalinowski of Maine, Raven Harrison of Searcy, Ryan Jewel Harrison of Searcy, Hannah Strain and hysband Sam of Rose Bud, Jordan Harrison of Rose bud, Noah Harrison of Rose Bud, and six great-great-grandchildren, Zac, McKenzie and Rhett Poulnott of Heber Springs, Delilah Mae and Asher Bryan of Rose Bud, and Abbi Rose Strain of Rose Bud. She is preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Mary Jewel Meyer; husband, Ceathal E. Carr; two sons, Nicholus E. “Nick” Carr, Ceathal Eugene “Gene” Carr; great-granddaughter, Jewel Harrison; and many loving siblings.

Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Powell Funeral Home.

Graveside funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 pm at Gum Springs Cemetery.
