When Bryant Herbert Rodgers was born on May 18, 1919, in Romance, Arkansas, his father, Bennie, was 19 and his mother, Mary, was 17. He married Clara Bell Millsap on May 13, 1940. They had six children in 12 years. He died on May 21, 1970, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 51, and was buried in White, Arkansas.
