When Rosa I Ellis was born on August 24, 1877, in Indiana, her father, William, was 35, and her mother, Elizabeth, was 31. She married Robert Hughey Hensley on September 1, 1895. They had eight children in 20 years. She died on March 29, 1949, in Woodruff, Arkansas, at the age of 71, and was buried in White, Arkansas.
