Willie “Lil Bud” McBride was born August 14, 1941, to the late Alice and Jim McBride. He departed this life on September 10, 2021, at his home in Dallas, TX.

Willie “Lil Bud” attended school in McNeil, Arkansas. He was employed for many years as a laborer at Elk Roofing plant in Stephens, AR. He was married to Queen Esther Heard McBride, and to this union 2 children were born. He later located to Dallas, TX. in 1978.

He is preceded in death by both parents, (3) brothers: Alvin “A.D.” McBride, Billy James McBride, Jimmy Lee McBride, Sr; (3) sisters: Bobbie McBride Bryant, Unice Alexander, Renell Beck; grandchild, David “Hogg” Davis.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory: (3) daughters, Veronica McBride of Magnolia, AR, Willie Dean “Dena” McBride of Waldo, AR, Rose (Charles) Todd of Camden, AR; (1) son, Jeffery McBride of Stephens, AR. Bonus children left to honor his memory: Ronnie (Janice) Johnson of McNeil, AR, LuShearin Butler of Milwaukee, WI, Janet Davis of Dallas, TX; sister, Alice Mae Jones of Clarksville, TN; brother, Willie James McBride of Camden, AR. He also leaves a very special nephew, Derrick “Tick” McBride, (9) grandchildren, (13) great grandchildren, (3) great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.


Graveside services will be held Friday, September 17th, 2021, at Good Hope Cemetery in Stephens, AR, at 2:00 p.m., under the direction of R.L. Reed Funeral Home, LLC. Dr. Roy Jones Jr, eulogist.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 16th, from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
