DOKE - Daniel Wayne, "Dan", 54, passed away August 13, 2008.
He served his country in the United States National Guard. He was a cost control analyst for Sunoco Refinery where he worked for 30 years. On August 14, 2008, in honor of his service, the flag at Sunoco Refinery was flown at half mast. He participated in coaching his sons' football and baseball teams and was a coach and mentor to many other young men.
He was a beloved husband, father, step father, step grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend. Survived by: wife, Cheryl Doke; sons, Daniel and Dillon Doke; step children, Derik Kline and wife Leah, Brandi Kline, and Brandon Williams; father, Doy Doke; sister, Debbie Meadors and husband Gary; step grandchildren, Bobby, Damian, Jasmyn, and Caroline; nieces Lori Martin, husband Gary and son Grayson, and Lindsey Goodner and husband Nick; nephew, Bryan Lowery; and numerous aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by: his mother, Billie Jo Doke; and brother, James Ronald Doke.
