Died in her sleep at 7:15 a.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016, in Johnson Regional Medical Center, Clarksville, Arkansas, after a courageous year and a half battle with cancer. She was a member of Stillwell Baptist Church and had retired from both Singer and Baldor. She was the first of nine children born to Marvin Luther Bean and Realon Ertha Houston Bean. Proceded in death by parents; ex-husband William Dean Mooney; sister, Anna Mae Skiles; brother, Danny Joe Bean; sister-in-law, Anna Estelle Smith Bean; and grandson, Sammy Martin. Survived by five sons, Michael Dean Mooney of Lamar, Arkansas; Randy Mooney and wife, Debby, of Hartman, Arkansas; Bob Mooney and wife, Rhonda, of Clarksville, Arkansas; Donald "Donny" Joe Mooney of Lamar, Arkansas; one daughter, Linda Carol Martin of Clarksville, Arkansas. Also survived by four brothers, Levon Bean and William Bean, both of Clarksville; Cecil Bean of Knoxville, Arkansas; Jim Bean of Paris, Arkansas; two sisters: Joy Stevens of Alma Arkansas and Nancy Carol Welborn (Bob) of Parron, Arkansas; plus nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at Hardwicke Funeral Home in Clarksville, Arkansas.
Funeral service was at 10 a.m. Thursday at East Mount Zion Trinity Baptist Church in Clarksville, Arkansas, officiated by Rev. Robbie Jackson. Special music requested by the family was performed by the Bean Trio and were Wanda's favorite songs: "Hand in Hand with Jesus, Amazing Grace, I'll Fly Away, and Blessed Assurance" respectively. After the funeral service the procession drove to Lone Pine Cemetery where she was interred in the Bean Family Plot at the foot of her father's grave at her request. The ladies of East Mount Zion Baptist Church served a great meal to the family following the burial. Thank you so much, ladies of East Mount Zion Trinity Baptist Church!
Funeral arrangements were conducted by Hardwicke Funeral Home, Clarksville, Arkansas.
Wanda was divorced from William Dean Mooney and did not remarry.
