ROGERS — Clarence Wendell Edgeworth Jr., age 79, of Rogers died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015, at Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village in Bentonville. He was born in Shannon, Miss., on July 30, 1935, to the late Clarence and Opal (Roby) Edgeworth.

Clarence served his country during the Korean and Vietnam wars in the U.S. Air Force, from which he retired after 20 years of service. Following retirement from the Air Force, he started Edgeworth Heating and Air Conditioning. Later he worked for Central Supply/Nelson Electric as a vendor of heating and air supplies.

He will be remembered as a very generous and talented person — he could do just about anything and would for just about anyone. He was a 32nd Degree Mason in the Rogers Lodge, a member of the VFW, Rogers First Baptist Church and the Amateur Trapshooting Association. He could be seen almost every morning at the Rogers Waffle Hut having coffee and solving the world's problems with his friends.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Jean (Huckabee) Edgeworth; children, Linda Terry and husband, Craig, of Snohomish, Wash., Keith Edgeworth of Rogers; grandchildren, Justin Terry, Kristen Edgeworth, Kyle Edgeworth, and a sister, Nell Branning of Jackson, Miss.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Grace Smith Boykin and Dot Hornkohl.

Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, with services beginning at 1 p.m. in the Rollins Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Bro. Tommy Hinson. Burial will be private.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Rogers First Baptist Church Building Fund, 3364 W. Pleasant Grove Road, Rogers 72758; or the charity of the donor's choice.

Arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
