SPRINGDALE — David Royce Cochrane, 63, of Springdale, Ark., died Monday, April 28, 2014, in Springdale. He was born July 27, 1950, in Red Cloud, Neb., the son of Easil and Betty Chappell Cochrane.

He married the former Claudia Visser on Aug. 22, 1975, in Baldwin, Ark. He enjoyed playing golf and floating the Mulberry River.

David and his wife successfully exhibited their Afghan hounds and dachshunds at dog shows for almost 40 years. He was also an AKC licensed judge. David worked for Walmart for 26 years as an associate.

He was preceded in death by his parents; older brother, Jimmy Cochrane; and two nephews, Brian Haynes and Bradley Stevens.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Claudia Cochrane of the home; brother, Bill Cochrane and his wife, Regena, of Boxley, Ark.; three sisters, Linda Haynes and her husband, Jim, of Rogers, Ark., Cathy Roberts and her husband, Jim, of Muskogee, Okla., Janice Arnold of Farmington, Ark.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be on Friday, May 2, 2014, at 1 p.m. in the chapel Nelson-Berna Funeral Home.
