Maxine F. Bowen, 83, of Bella Vista, Ark., died on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2003, at the Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville, Ark. She was born Aug. 18, 1920, in Red Oak, Iowa, to Paul E. Foster and Mable A. Spicer Foster.
She moved with her husband, Perry, to Bella Vista in March 1970 from Seymour, Mo. She was a charter member of the Bella Vista Community Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Joan Bowen, and a great-granddaughter, Katherine Wiggins.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Perry Bowen, of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Ed Bowen and Shelley Bowen of Apple Valley, Minn., and Larry Bowen of Bellevue, Neb.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17, at the Bella Vista Community Church in Bella Vista, Ark. with the Rev. David McKay.
Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory of Bella Vista, Ark.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bella Vista Community Church, 75 East Lancashire Blvd., Bella Vista, AR 72714, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
