BELLA VISTA — Lavern Agustas Bladon, 84, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Sunday, July 20, 2014, at Circle of Life Hospice - Legacy in Bentonville, Ark. He was born on June 5, 1930, in Clearfield, Iowa, to Vernon Bladon and Vera Green Bladon.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his wife, Rene Bladon of Bella Vista, Ark.; children, Christopher Bladon (Sarah) of Birmingham, Ala., Rebecca S. Kuykendahl (Dale) of Dixon, Calif., Janus R. Bladon (Angela) of Tarzana, Calif., Lea K. Reed (Jim) of Scotts Valley, Calif., Thomas S. Toay (Kerri) of Burbank, Calif., Jane M. Weakley (Mark) of Clarksville, Tenn., David W. Toay (Kris) of Spencer, Iowa, Douglas J. Toay of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Amy L. Klocke (Dale) of Adel, Iowa; 24 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 26, at the First United Methodist Church of Bella Vista, with Pastor Wink Alexander and Pastor Zach Underwood officiating.

Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista, AR 72715; or to the Circle of Life Hospice - Legacy Village, 1201 NE Legacy Parkway, Bentonville, AR 72712.
