BELLA VISTA — Howard Martin Biesterfeld, 88, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Jan. 14, 2018. He was born June 10, 1929, in Chicago Heights, Ill., to Martin Biesterfeld and Selma Biesterfeld.
He retired from J.C. Penney as store manager in which he had 41 years of service. Howard was an active member in the Lions Club for over 25 years. He was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce.
Preceded in death by his sisters, Jean Beyer and Audrey Walters.
Howard is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Ula Biesterfeld; two sons, James Biesterfeld, Sumner, Wash., Craig Biesterfeld, St. Louis, Mo.; one daughter, Peggy Wagner, Hannibal, Mo.; two brothers, Roland Biesterfeld and Kenneth Biesterfeld, both of Crete, Ill.; sister, Geraldine Erickson, Las Vegas; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 18 at Bella Vista Lutheran Church with memorial services to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be at Bella Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Bella Vista Lutheran Church, 1990 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Ark., 72715. Arrangements are under the direction of the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory.
