Mr. John Paul Musgrave, 95 of Flippin passed away Tuesday March 29, 2016 at his home in Flippin. He was born August 6, 1920 in Norris City, Illinois to Milton Edmund Musgrave and Stella Wilson Musgrave. He graduated Ridgway Community High School Class of 1940. While in high school he was involved in basketball and track. He set a county record in the Hop, Skip and Jump. He also sang in the Glee Club. He joined the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) during the mid 1930's. He served his country during World War II for 2 � years in the SeeBee branch of the Navy. He was stationed in the South Pacific in the Admiralty Islands. After his discharge from the Navy he went to work for General Motors (Fisher Body) as a maintenance welder at the Willow Springs Illinois branch where he worked for 30 years. In 1976 he retired to Salesville, Arkansas where he and his wife Marge ran Oak Park Motel for about 25 years. While running the motel he was also a volunteer firefighter and assistant Fire Chief for the Salesville Fire Department.

He was an avid bowler and coached his youngest two daughters in bowling . He truly enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church in Flippin.

Mr. Musgrave is survived by his children: Phyllis Bennett, Linda Johnson (Don Johnson), Tena Johnson (Chic Johnson), Mike Simundic (Milissa Simundic), Eddie Simundic (Donna Simundic), Paula Bennett (Mike Bennett), Lisa Hart (Brian Hart); 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Rose Vladowich Musgrave, second wife Margaret Louise Fox Simundic Musgrave; a daughter Barbara Louise Musgrave McCarthy; siblings Verbal Ann, Clyde Walter, Eunice Edna, Ralph Wilson, Madge Evelyn, Elvis Edmond and Helen Blanch.

Visitation will be from Noon until 8 PM Friday April 1, 2016 at Roller Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 PM. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday April 2 at Roller Funeral Home conducted by Pastor Danny Hutcherson.

Entombment will follow in the Baxter Memorial Gardens Mausoleum of Love.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Bennett, Kevin Johnson, Nick Nugent, Joshua Bennett, Rich Santora, Joe Santora, Brian Hart and Mike Bennett. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Parkalob, Tommy Alexander, Brandon Hart, Logan Hart, Connor Hart, Matt Simundic, Mark Simundic, Jeff Simundic and Scott Simundic.

The family wishes to express their thanks to his caregivers Lacey Walker, Judy Clark and LeeAnn Bullard.
