Theodore Arthur Mason, 79, of Noel, Missouri, departed this life Tuesday evening, Nov. 17, 2015, at Northwest Medical Center in Bentonville, Arkansas, after a brief illness.

Theodore was born November 3, 1936, in Hiwasse, Ark., to the late Claude and Mary Ruth (McFadden) Mason. He spent most of his early life in Sulphur Springs, Ark. He worked as a brick layer for many years in the family business and was a member of the Local 15 Bricklayers Union. He also worked for Gallery Graphics in Noel, Mo. He loved fishing and would spend countless hours on the lake in his boat with his fishing buddies. He enjoyed bird hunting in his earlier days and spending time with his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Delores Mason; and a grandson, Daniel Ray Owens.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Mary Ann Mason of the home; one brother, Gerald Mason of Grove, Okla.; four children, Steve Mason and wife Janice, Melanie Owens and husband Daniel, Carol Armstrong and husband Derrol, all of Noel, Mo., and Eugene Mason and wife Gaye of Carthage, Mo.; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; a niece, Penny Hill, and a nephew, Perry Mason; as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services for Mr. Theodore Mason will be held Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015, at 10 a.m. at the Ozark Funeral Home in Noel, Mo., with Pastor Mark Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Butler Creek Cemetery in Sulphur Springs, Ark. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers are Derrol A. Armstrong, Michael Jayne, Travis Owens, Tyler Owens, Vern Mason and Nathen Crittenden.

The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 20, 2015, from 6 until 8 p.m, at the funeral home. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.ozarkfuneralhome.com. Funeral services are under the personal care and direction of the Ozark Funeral Home in Noel, Mo.

Mary Ann Mason, 84, of Noel, Mo., died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2021, after a brief illness, in her home, surrounded by loved ones.

She was born Nov. 6, 1936, in St. Louis, Mo., to Ira Ronald (Jack) and Lora Pearl (Riley) Harruff. She grew up in Kirkwood, Mo. She was married to Lavern Mason on Feb. 28, 1953. She worked at Carthage Shoe Manufacturing Company and did housework for area residents. She lived in the Carthage area until Sept. 30, 1980, and then moved to Noel when she married Theodore Mason. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of her home and was a St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs fan.

She is preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Eugene Harruff (Duffy), Jim Harruff; two sisters, Sylvia Harruff Miller, Penny Jean Harruff; husbands, Lavern Mason and Theodore Mason; and grandson, Daniel Ray Owens.

She is survived by four children, Eugene Mason (Gaye) of Joplin, Steven Mason (Janice), Melanie Owens (Daniel), Carol Armstrong (Derrol) all of Noel; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, March 5, 2021, in the Noel Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes with Edward Tweedy officiating. Burial will follow in Butler Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
