Joseph "Joe" Thomas Lehman, age 74, of Jacksonville passed away at his home on August 11, 2014. He was born November 11, 1939 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to the late Lola Francis (Davis) Lehman and William Randolph "Bill" Lehman.
He was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, and worked as a lineman for First Electric Coop and was self-employed with Lehman Electric. Joe was also a volunteer firefighter for the Jacksonville Fire Department for 32 years. He was a member of Jacinto Masonic Lodge #216 in Jacksonville and a 32nd Degree Mason in the Scottish Rite. He was an avid outdoorsman and was a founding member of D-12 Hunting Club. He was also a member of the Old River Fishing Club.
He is survived by his sister Dorothy (Lehman) Hickman of North Little Rock, one brother William "Bill Jr." Lehman and his wife Lucille of Jacksonville, four children; Mike Lehman and his wife Holly of Cabot, Danny Lehman of Jacksonville, Lanny Lehman and his wife Courtney of Beebe, and Alicia Lehman Overton and her husband Shawn of Cabot, and five grandchildren; Sarah and Justin Lehman of Cabot, Savannah and Tanner Lehman of Beebe, and Alex Overton of Cabot, as well as other extended family and many friends.
Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 14, 2014 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136.
