October 15, 1931 - March 28, 2016
Donald Joseph Furman, age 84, passed away at his home in Fayetteville, Arkansas on March 28, 2016.
He was born in Chicago, Illinois to Donald and Abigail Furman and is survived by a brother, William Furman, a daughter, Mary Moore (husband Mark), a son, Michael Furman (wife Londa) as well as seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. His wife, Virginia, preceded him in death on May 24, 1995.
Donald proudly served in the army during the Korean War as a morse code interceptor. He had many hobbies and interests including photography and model trains. He was also an avid Chicago sports fan. Donald especially loved baseball and played in his youth.
He was a good father and an even better friend. A special thank you to Anita Rogers for her care and friendship to Donald these past fifteen years.
Arrangements are being made at Moore's Chapel Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
A private, graveside memorial will be performed at Brashears Cemetery, St. Paul, Arkansas.
