Corine Elliott Wesley was born June 12, 1943 to Dea. Clemon and Sis. Nettie Bivens Elliott in Camden, AR. She departed this life Sunday, January 15, 2017 at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden, AR.
Corine joined Mt. Gillard Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, and was a faithful member until her health began to fail. She attended Lafayette High School.
She married the love of her life Bro. Hubbard Wesley. She and Bro. Wesley influenced many neighbors and friends to visit Mt. Gillard that later joined the church. To this union two children were born, Jennifer and Connie Wesley.
Corine was preceded in death by her parents, Clemon Elliott and Sis. Nettie Bivens Elliott, two sisters, Neacie Jones and Dorphine Rogers, three brothers, Louie, Glen and Warren G. Elliott and one grandson, D. J. Wesley.
Corine was employed twenty-four years at Lockheed Martin in East Camden, AR.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Jennifer (Keith) Arnold and Connie (Calvin) Thorn of Camden, AR; her siblings Rev. Lawrence Elliott of Camden, AR, Roy V. Elliott of Little Rock, AR, Aljean Jones of Camden, AR and Evelyn Bradley of Buffalo, NY; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; five sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and many many dear cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Corine will be 11:00AM Saturday, January 21, 2017 at Mt. Gillard Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Patton Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00PM to 6:00PM Friday at the funeral home. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
