Mother Aljean Elliott Jones was born on April 19, 1935, to the late Clemon Elliott and Nettie Bivens in Camden, Arkansas. Mother Jones was united in Holy Matrimony to Jessie Jones and to this union ten children were born.
Mother Elliott’s Life Journey
She joined Mt. Gillard Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. She later united with the Brown Temple Church of God In Christ. Her husband was called to Pastor and she became the 1st Lady of Powerhouse Church of God In Christ and Unity Church of God In Christ. Mother Jones served faithfully until her death.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, siblings: Louis Elliott, Warren G. Elliott, Lawrence Elliott, Glen Elliott, Corine Wesley, Dolphine Rogers and Neacie Jones.
Mother Jones leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 68 years, Elder Jessie Jones. Ten children, Azzie Lee Beard (Douglas), Elder Jesse Lee Jones (Willie Mae), Eddie Ray Jones, Rail V. Jones, Sharon Reece (Ronnie), Danny Joe Jones, Gail Porchia (Frederick), Fred Jones, Lamar Allen Jones, Marshall Timothy Jones and a very special cousin, Gloria Dean Robinson, 15 grandchildren, 14 great grand children and a host of nieces, nephews, family and Friends.
