Clarence Bernard Brand, 82, son of the late Clarence and May Brand, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, at his home.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Richard Brand; one sister, Beatrice Madden; and brother, Cleburne Brand.

He is survived by his wife, Lucille Brand; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and John Gibson of Medina, Ohio, and Sharon and Scott Miller of Pocahontas; five grandchildren, April Schnardthorst of St. Charles, Mo., Erik Gibson and Alex Gibson, both of Medina, Brent Miller of Newport and Ashley Nelson of Pocahontas; two great-grandchildren, Katherina and Brianna Schnardthorst of St. Charles; and one brother, Gene Brand of Walnut Ridge.

Visitation will be from 6-8 this evening.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in McNabb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park with Dr. Gary Gregory and Dr. Jerol Swaim officiating.

Lucille Brand, 91, of Pocahontas passed away Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at her home.

She was born February 1, 1930 in Obion County, Tennessee to the late John and Elma Snead Beeler. She was the youngest of nine siblings who all precede her in death.

She was a graduate of Mound City School of Business in St. Louis and Memphis School of Commerce. She worked as a bookkeeper for Barton Lumber Company and following retirement she volunteered as a Pink Lady at Five Rivers Medical Center. Lucille was a faithful member of Pocahontas First Baptist Church where she was a part of the Mary Martha Sunday School Class and conducted numerous Bible studies in the community. She also worked in the nursery at Walnut Ridge First Baptist Church and enjoyed playing dominos.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Elma Beeler; husband, Clarence Bernard Brand; son, Richard W. Brand; and great granddaughter Brooklynn Gibson.

Lucille is survived by two daughters, Susan (John) Gibson and Sharon (Scott) Miller; five grandchildren, April (Chris) Mertons, Erik (Maria) Gibson, Brent Miller, Ashley (Brock) Ray, Alex (Tracie) Gibson; nine great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 5-7 PM at Pocahontas First Baptist Church. Funeral service will be Friday, October 22, 2021 at 10 AM at First Baptist Church with Jerol Swaim and Eric Moffett officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park under direction of McNabb Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are: Brent Miller, Brock Ray, Alex Gibson, Erik Gibson, and Chris Mertons.

Memorials in Lucille Brand’s honor may be made to Pocahontas First Baptist Church Children’s Ministry, 511 W Church Street, Pocahontas, AR 72455
