William E. Henderson, 72, of London, went home to be with The Lord Wednesday, July 15, 2020. The son of Ernest and Wanda (Yates) Henderson, he was born December 21, 1947 in Clarksville. He married Brenda Nordin on November 22, 1968 at Hagarville. He was a factory worker for Mid South Roller Company for over 25 years and later drove a bus for The Area Agency on Aging. He was a member of the Martin Chapel Assembly of God where he served as a deacon, usher, and volunteered as needed. He was also a proud member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, bidding at auction, Cardinal baseball, Razorback sports, and especially watching his granddaughter play sports. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donnie Henderson and John Wayne Henderson; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, R. L. and Maxine Nordin.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Brenda Henderson; his son, Andrew Henderson and Jennifer; granddaughter, Alyssa Henderson, all of London; his sister-in-law, Iva Henderson of Lamar; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Graveside service will be held on July 18, 2020 at Hickey Cemetery near Lamar by Humphrey Funeral Service. Rev Jerry Ferguson will officiate. Memorials may be made to CARTI at https://carti.ejoinme.org/donate or Gideons International, https://www.gideons.org/donate.
Pallbearers are Kenny Cochran, Harold Curtis, Philip Nordin, Paul Nordin, Charles Cochran and John Childress. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Robert Thurlby, Charles Hall, Roy Johnson, Dr. Thomas Sneed, Tim Elmore, Fred Dougan, Doug Hatchett, and Mid South Roller employees.
