Alice Faye Horton, 73, of Lamar, died October 21, 2013. She was born in De Witt, Arkansas on May 11, 1940, to the late Robert Regionald Hooker and Arlie (Crist) Hooker. She was a loving mother and grandmother and was the matriarch of her family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, James "Hap" Horton.
Mrs. Horton is survived by one son, James Allen Pribble, II, of Houston, Texas; three daughters, Cynthia Yvonne Snodgrass of Lamar, Judith Lynn Conway of Vilonia and Valarie Kaye Mitchell of Lamar; two sisters, Margaret Barnes of Beebe and Ruby Jean Willey of Clarksville; three brothers, Donald Hooker of Mt. Ida, Herman Hooker of Stuttgart and Kenneth Hooker of Ocean View, Delaware; seven grandchildren, Wesley Snodgrass, Roy Callahan, Jessica Grover, Kyle Grover, Madison Grover, Avery Pribble and Tara Conway; four great grandchildren, Mikayla Callahan, Mia Callahan, Tristin Snodgrass and Abigail Snodgrass; her best friend, Florence Warren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other friends.
