Dorven Butch Gene Baxter, was born April 20, 1945,in Swain, Arkansas.Son of the late Mitchell and Nora Baxter. He passed from this life Friday, December 5,2013, Johnson Regional Medical Center, Clarksville, Arkansas,at the age of 68.Preceded in death by brothers, Dester Odean Baxter, Lewis Baxter, Verlin Baxter, Jr Baxter, Dorlin Baxter; sister, Betty Joe McFadden. He leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Cheryl Irene (Osterhout)Baxter of Lamar, Arkanas; sons, Mitchell Baxter and wife, Brandy of Clarksville, Arkansas and Willy Baxter and wife, Rachel of Clarksville,Arkansas;daughter,Carol(Baxter) Hannon and husband, Micheal of Lamar, Arkansas;brother, Jack Baxter of Ozone, Arkansas; sister, Virginia Henson of Clarksville, Arkansas; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson. Visitation will be 6-8p.m.,Thursday, December 12, 2013, Broussard-Pledger Funeral Home, Clarksville,Arkansas. Funeral service will be 2:00p.m., Friday, December 13, 2013, Broussard-Pledger Funeral Home Chapel, Clarksville, Arkansas. Reverend Danny White officiating. Burial will be in Lamar Cemetery, Lamar, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be William Laming, Columbus Higgins, Jason McKee, Clayton Baxter, Daniel Vaughn, Nathan Baxter, Clayton McKee, Austin Clubb. Honorary Pallbearers will be Zachary Gerleman, Kendell Gill, Dusty Clubb, Jerry Bohannon, Jerry Killough, Randall Bohannon, Lonnie Bohannon, Ronnie Bohannon.
