*Obituary - Lawrence Glen Crutchfield
Lawrence Glenn Crutchfield Lawrence (L.G.) Glenn Crutchfield, 75 of Lamar, passed from this life Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2014, in Clarksville. He was born April 5, 1938, in Lutherville to Evrett and Etta Crutchfield. L.G. graduated high school from Lamar in 1956 and later went to barber college. After several years as a barber, he traveled the country in the pipeline and construction business.

After his children became school age he decided to settle down. This is when he and his wife, Jimmie, opened Crutchfield Grocery in Lamar. L.G. also pursued a career in the construction business in which he started Crutchfield Back-Hoe Service. L.G. had many passions, including woodworking, bird hunting, and not only playing baseball but coaching it for several years as well. Nothing made L.G. happier than when he could give a gift to someone he made with his hands. Mr. Crutchfield is preceded in death by his parents, two wives; Jimmy Faye Havener, and Donna Demoret, along with five brothers, and three sisters.

Visitation for Mr. Crutchfield was held Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Clarksville Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb, 18, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the Lamar United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Lamar Cemetery.
