FORT SMITH — Carrie Lynn Black, 63, of Fort Smith died Jan. 22, 2021, at Baptist
Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born Oct. 14, 1957, in Fayetteville to Fred and Mary Craig Drain.
Carrie was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Panama, Okla. She retired from Hickory Springs Manufacturing Co. and enjoyed quilt-making for her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her son, Roy Eugene Black and one brother.
She is survived by her fiance, David Risinger; son, Donavon Black of Fort Smith; two daughters, Deanna Landis and husband William of Paris and Marian Jones of Fort Smith; brother, William "Butch" Drain and wife Carla of Tahlequah, Okla.; and four sisters, Patsy Call and husband Carl of Bokoshe, Okla., Shirley Drain, Lula Ridgway and husband Johnny and Barbara Blair, all of Fayetteville; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at Woolsey Cemetery with Bro. Steve Curtis officiating.
Visitation will be Monday, Jan. 25, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Beard's Funeral Chapel.
