FAYETTEVILLE— Harry McNew Jr. went to be with his Lord on Sept. 12, 2016, at the age of 76. He was born Feb. 25, 1940.

He is preceded in death by his father, Harry McNew Sr.; his mother; Ruth McNew; one sister, Ethel DaFoe; two brothers, Bill and J.D. McNew. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Betty McNew of the home; three brothers, Jim McNew and wife, Sandy of Farmington, Ark., Charles McNew and wife, Lucy of Seattle, Wash., and Larry McNew of Lompoc, Calif.; two daughters, Tammy Manes and husband, Mike of Malden, Mo., and Betty Rose Foshe and husband, Robert of Siloam Springs, Ark.; two sons, Gilbert Patrick and wife, Tammie of Alma, Ark., and Billy Bottoms and wife, Army of West Fork, Ark.; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He was a member of Living Faith Church of God in Fayetteville.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, 2016, at Living Faith Church of God. Interment will follow in Woolsey Cemetery under the direction of Beard's Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016, at the funeral home. Condolences at www.beardsfuneralchapel.com.
