James Claude Haskins, 80, of Somerville, Texas, formerly of West Folk, died Friday, Dec. 2, 1994, in a Brenham, Texas hospital.

Born Sept. 27, 1914, at White Oaks, N.M., a son of Edward Franklin and Edna Izora Reasoner Haskins, he was a dairy farmer and cattle rancher. An Army veteran of World War II, he was married to Estella Ann Haskins.

Survivors are two stepsons, Rocky Parkhurst of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Paul Mahan of Springdale; three stepdaughters, Donna Taylor of Springdale, and Jeanne Slayton and Karen Donahue, both of Fayetteville; two sisters, Allie Snodgrass of Las Cruces, N.M., and Louola Herbert of Freeport, Texas; a brother, Tommy Haskins of Somerville, Texas; and several stepgrandchildren.

The funeral will he at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Moore's Chapel in Fayetteville with the Rev. Terrel Gordon officiating. Burial will be in the Woolsey Cemetery.

Mrs. Estella N. Haskins, 49, Rt. 1, Winslow, died April 9 in a Fayetteville hospital. Born Dec. 30, 1926, at Mount Comfort, she was the daughter of Sylvester B. and Rose Marie Thomas Giles and a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, J. Claude Haskins of the home; two sons, Paul Mahan, West Fork; and Rocky Bryan Parkhurst of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Donna Taylor, Lincoln; Mrs. Gene Noble and Mrs. Karen Marie Donahur, Winslow; one brother, William N. Giles; Sperry, Okla.; two sister, Mrs. Rose Mary Bradshaw, Fairview, Mo., and Mrs. Peggy Rouse, Memphis, Tenn.; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Moore's Chapel, Fayetteville, with Brock Watson, minister, officiating. Burial will be Woolsey Cemetery under the direction of Moore's.
