Jackie Dean Young, 69, of Clarksville, AR passed away November 10, 2020 at his home.
He was born May 25, 1951 in Clarksville, AR to his parents, Jack Wallace and Nola Dean (Patrick) Young.
He worked for Young's Furniture, singer, started his own business - Camardese Plastics as president 1989-2011.
He served in the US Army during November 1971 - April 1972 as Sergeant First Class, 239th Engineer Company, 39th Infantry Brigade. Jackie was in the National Guard from March 7, 1973 - May 12, 1994. Jackie retired from National Guard in May 1994. Jackie enjoyed antiquing, collecting, and rebuilding old cars, camping with his family, working cattle, spending time with his grandkids and teaching them life skills. He devoted his time working and building his 1936 school bus. Jackie had several civic activities that he was involved in Grange, member and a board member of RFD 1, and class president Oark Alumni for years.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jack Wallace and Nola Dean (Patrick) Young, and brother Gary Wayne Young.
Jackie is survived by his wife of 48 years Karen (Scoggins) Young, daughters Aimee & Bart English of Lamar, AR; Amber & Ronnie Mefford of Clarksville, AR; grandchildren Andru & Whitney Mefford of Oak Grove, KY; Amanda Mefford of Springdale, AR; Blake Kern of Lamar, AR; and Taylor English of Lamar, AR; great grandchildren Peyton & Hunter Mefford; Mike, Leigh-Ann, Patrick & Lettie.
Visitation will be Monday, November 16, 2020 at 4:00-6:00 PM open visitation with family meeting family and friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM. at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral will be Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with officiating. Burial will follow at Mt Vernon Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wade Preece, Carl Jones, Don Morgan, John Wayne Wood, Johnny Carlton, and Roy Melson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Fred Soard and Will Pizzotti.
