February 27, 1935 - July 5, 2014
Earl Wayne Toombs was born February 27, 1935, to his parents in Hornersville, Missouri, and passed away July 5, 2014, in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the age of 79.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Shirley Selby Toombs; Parents: Earl L. and Christine Kittle Toombs; two brothers: James Lee Toombs and Donald Winston Toombs; and two sisters: Mary Emma Walden and Earline Toombs.
He is survived by a son: Robert "Bob" Earl Toombs of Davison, Michigan; a daughter: Tina Toombs Pelton and husband, David, of Salt Lake City, Utah; two brothers: William Mack Toombs of Paragould, Arkansas, Gary Robert Toombs of Jonesboro, Arkansas; a sister: Faye Evelyn Williams of Paragould, Arkansas; Sister in law: Robbie Domerese of Flint, Michigan; Several Neices and Nephews; Special Friend: Lura Curran and family of Clarksville, Arkansas; and four grandchildren: Rachel Christina Toombs, Jeremy Wayne Pelton, Taylor Ray Pelton, Breanna Marie Toombs.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas, with Reverend Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Friday, July 11, 2014, at the Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville.
Shirley
January 21, 1937 - June 1, 2009
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Rob and Marie Selby. She leaves behind her husband of 52 years Earl W. Toombs. Her children, Tina and David Pelton (Draper, Utah), Robert Toombs (Flint, Michigan). Her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Jeremy and Taylor Pelton (Draper, Utah), Rachel Toombs (Grand Blanc, Michigan) and Breeana Toombs (Flint, Michigan). Beloved sister, Robbie Domerese (Flint, Michigan) and Robbie's children, Don (Sandi) Domerese, Gary (Kathy) Domerese and Freda Gregory. Husband's siblings, Mack (Patricia) Toombs, Gary Toombs and Faye (Willie) Williams. Many other nieces and nephews who all held a special place in her heart. Special friend Nancy Tomlin Adkins along with many other dear friends from over the years who she continued to keep in contact with right until the end.
Pallbearers were Gary Domerese, Jeremy Pelton, Taylor Pelton, J. R. Toombs, William Toombs, and David Pelton.
