Freddie L. Stubblefield, age 83, of Conway, formerly of Morrilton, passed away Friday, October 30, 2009. She was born February 4, 1926, in Cleveland, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Charlie Green Brents and Mary Elizabeth Crow Brents. She was retired from Blue Ribbon Shoes, member of Calvary Baptist Church and Eastern Star in Morrilton, and the widow of Ray Earl Stubblefield to whom she was married for 61 years. Survivors include two daughters, Marilyn Powell and husband Bill, Becky Huett and husband Tommy all of Conway; five granddaughters, Christy Hockaday and husband Chris, Cindy Ledbetter and husband Michael, Cathy Shourd and husband Jon, Elizabeth and Katy Huett. Four great-granddaughters, Megan and Rachel Ledbetter and Abby and Haley Shourd; and one sister, Nita Forsyth and husband Harold. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Tilley officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bill Powell, Chris Hockaday, Michael Ledbetter, Tommy Huett, Jon Shourd, and Hal Forsyth. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons of Calvary Baptist Church.
