Erval C. Meeler, age 96, of Cleveland, passed away Sunday, January 11, 2015. She was born September 6, 1918 in Scotland, Arkansas, a daughter of Thomas I. Leavell and Ossie Ola Brents Leavell. She is the widow Taylor Robert Meeler. She was a homemaker and a member of Scotland Assembly of God.
She is survived by her son, Robert T. Meeler and wife Georgette of Wynne, Arkansas; daughters, Shirley T. Meeler Yelvington of Mablevale, Arkansas and Wanda L. Meeler Holden and husband James of Shreveport, Louisana; brother, Ray Leavell and wife Willadean of Port St. Joe, Florida; eight grandsons; one granddaughter; 13 great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; all of her nieces, nephews and family were very special to her. She will be missed. Other than her parents and husband she is preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Leavell and Paul Leavell; three sisters, Lila Eubanks, Lola Wells and Juanita Jerls; son-in-law, Kenneth Yelvington.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 17, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. David Jones officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Scotland by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
