Edward Eugene Grimes age 91, of Cabot passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012. He was born February 24, 1920 in Guion, Arkansas to the late Alfonso Grimes and Dora Keener Grimes.

He was a United States Marine Corps veteran serving during World War II, and was a retired salesman for Montgomery Ward.

He is survived by his wife Louise Light Grimes of the home, children; Joni Watson and her husband Brad of Scottsdale, Arizona, Scott Grimes and his wife Patricia of Denville, New Jersey, Kenneth Grimes of Washington, two step-sons; Robert M. Eddy of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Roger Light of Cabot; two sisters, Irene Morgan of Jacksonville and Dottie McCrady of North Little Rock, four grandchildren; Miles Watson, Jeff Grimes, Kelly and Lydia Grimes.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home or memorials may be made to the John L. McClellan Memorial Veterans Hospital 4300 West 7th Street Little Rock, AR 72205.
