Wanda Pauline Mayfield, 85, of Clarksville died Sunday, May 29, 2011, at Clarksville.
She was a native of Franklin County, daughter of the late E. Lee and Nona E. Davis Hatchett, widow of Troy J. Mayfield, nurse's aide, retired receptionist for Roller-Cox Funeral Home, and was preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Harris and Sandy Smith, both of Madera, Calif.; one son, Gilbert Carter of Fresno, Calif.; one sister, Melva Hanson of California; four grandchildren including caregiver and granddaughter, Melissa Jones of Clarksville; and eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 4, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Amos Pledger officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.
