Ruby M. Childers, 88, of Clarksville died Sunday, March 9, 2008, in Conway.

A native of Clarksville, she was a daughter of the late Edward McKennon and Pearl Elizabeth Martin Morgan, member of First Presbyterian Church, graduate of Clarksville High School, owner and operator of Ruby's Beauty Shop in Clarksville for 34 years, and was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Brenda Childers.

Survivors include her husband, David Don Childers; one daughter, Nancy Rueluene Singleton of Springdale; one son, Ragon Willey of Phoenix, Ariz.; three stepdaughters, Karen Davis of Greenbrier, Lori Childers of Indialantic, Fla., and Tina Childers of Hot Springs; one sister, Vida King; three grandchildren, Tonya, Angie and Todd; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; eight stepgrandchildren; and one stepgreat-grandchild; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Vester Felkins, Dain Childers, Charles and Janice Over, and Jack and Rita Cline.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at Hardwicke Funeral Chapel with John Ballard officiating. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tony Davis, Charles Over, Chad Over, Dain Childers, Todd Willey, Bobby Russell and Robert Crain.
