William “Bill” Anderson Farmer, 69, of Jacksonville passed from this life on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at Baptist Hospital in North Little Rock. He was born Saturday, July 2, 1949 in Conway, Arkansas to the late Varman Anderson and Elvera R. Carmichael Farmer. Mr. Farmer attended Oak Grove High School and Pulaski Tech. Vocational School where he studied Small Engine Technology. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was employed with Montgomery Ward from 1978 until 2000. Bill was currently employed at Gravel Ridge Small Engine. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping but found his greatest joy in his family.

Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Freda M. Farmer; children, Marvin A. Farmer of Vilonia, Malinda M. Farmer of Jacksonville, and Teresa (Bill) Ellis of Little Rock. Other survivors include siblings, Tommy (JoAnn) Farmer of Little Rock, Diane (Donnie) Rickett of Jacksonville, Betty Phillips of Anniston, Alabama; grandchildren, Michaela Farmer, Christian Farmer, Rochelle Payne, Aaron Garza, Emily Farmer, and Alicia Garza along with a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home with Pastor Norman Powell officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, October 5, 2018 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Clifton Langley, Jeffery Waddle, Scott Gentry, Raymond Eddy, Robert Fulmer, Aaron Garza, Shawn Carter and Shane Farmer. Arrangements entrusted to Moore’s Jacksonville Funeral Home (501) 982-2136.
