Mary I. Smith, 89, of Clarksville died Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, in North Little Rock.
She was a retired teacher, member of First Baptist Church in Clarksville, native of Nebo, Mo., and preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Blanche Rocques Barnes; husband, Donald E. Smith Sr.; and brother, William F. Barnes.

Mrs. Mary I. Smith was born September 20, 1921 in Nebo, Missouri. She died in North Little Rock, Arkansas, October 18, 2010, at the age of 82. Ms. Smith was a Teacher, and a member of the Clarksville First Baptist Church in Clarksville, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents: Monroe and Blanche Rocques Barnes; her husband: Donald E. Smith, Sr.; and brother: William F. Barnes.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her son: Donald E. Smith, Jr., of North Hollywood, California; her sister: Nina Geiss of Atlanta, Georgia; and brothers: Paul G. Castleman of Clarksville, Arkansas, and Michael A. Castleman of Neosho, Missouri.
Services have been entrusted to Roller-Cox Funeral Home and are scheduled for 10 a. m. Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Clarksville, Arkansas with Brother Bob Freeman presiding. Burial will follow at the Woodland Cemetery in Clarksville, Arkansas. Visitation is scheduled at the Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel located at 701 Rogers Street in Clarksville, Arkansas.
