A Funeral Service for Rose Josephine Nicholas of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 3:00 pm, Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until service time. Rose passed away January 4, 2012, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 93. She was born September 18, 1918, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of James and Johanna Jedlicka Klasna. She married Fred Nicholas on January 16, 1943, at Chicago, Illinois and worked as a Plant Supervisor for B.M. Reeves. Rose lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1971, moving from Chicago, Illinois. She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Life member of the Illinois PTA and loved to play bingo and watch the Arkansas Razorbacks. Rose is survived by one daughter; Dr. Linda ( Mike) Teal of Mountain Home, AR; one grandson; Joshua (Nora) Teal of Maumelle, AR; one great grandson; Graham Teal of Maumelle, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, James Klasna, 3 sisters; Jennie Uzlik, Marie Wilson and Anna Jasik. Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum.
