February 27, 1930 - March 25, 2021
Sister Lessie Lester was born on February 27th 1930, in Camden, AR, to the late Mr. Seymore Freeman and the late Mrs. Lillie Mae Freeman. She departed this life on March 25th, 2021 at Ouachita Nursing and Rehab in Camden, AR. She joined Shady Grove Baptist Church at an early age where she served for several years. She later moved her membership to Greater St. Paul Baptist Church in Camden, AR and was a faithful member until her death.
She was united in holy matrimony to the late Jimmy Lester in 1951. She was the mother of four children two preceded her in death: Helen Crossley and Patricia Roberson. She worked many years as a homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother.
She leaves to mourn her passing, two loving children: Erma Thrower (John) of Tucson, AZ and Jimmy Edward Lester (Lolita) of Norcross, GA; two stepchildren: Earnestine Lester of Minneapolis, MN and Robert Lester of Memphis, TN; seven sisters: Mary V. Fariley of Cleveland, OH, Mae Ellen Montgomery, Alice Falls, Mrs. Patsy McCoy (Leonard), Mrs. Betty Parham (James), Paulette Seals, and Bessie King all of Camden, AR.
She has six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
