Melba Theo “Topsy” Edwards Oliver Johnson was born July 22, 1926 To Izora Sosebee and Robert Franklin Edwards in Augusta Arkansas (Woodruff Co.) and went to be with the Lord March 8, 2019. She was the youngest of 6 children. Topsy was preceded in death by her first husband Charles Edward Oliver, her son Charles Robert (Buddy) Oliver, a great-granddaughter Brandi Hall, her second husband James Carrol Johnson, and brothers and sisters: Tommie Edwards, Dalton Cox, Burton Edwards, Marstella Odom, and Robert (Bob) Edwards.

Topsy is survived by a daughter, Charlene Penrod, 5 grandchildren: Brad Oliver, Carla Whitt, Brian Oliver, Christi Penrod Hall, Stephanie Lawrence, 7 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Topsy was a member of Harmony Methodist church in the Harmony community. She spent her life taking care of her family and those around her. She loved working with flowers, crocheting, and reading her Bible. She is to be remembered for her love, laughter, and smile. A special thanks to Marilyn Whitley, Barbara Oliver, and Ruth Lawrence for the special care you gave to Topsy.

Visitation will begin at 10 AM Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home in Beebe with funeral following at 11 AM with burial in Antioch Cemetery.
