A Visitation for Rhuella Hazel Brown of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be Wednesday, December 21, 2016, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home. Entombment will follow the visitation, in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas.


Rhuella passed away December 16, 2016, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 98. She was born August 14, 1918, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Benjamin and Elsie Burgett. She married Henry Brown on August 24, 1940 and the two relocated to Mountain Home in 1979, for their retirement years. In her younger years, she attended Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Rhuella is survived by her son, Thomas (Madeline) Brown of Bartlett, IL; daughter, Janice Brown of Indianapolis, IN; six grandchildren, Brenda Spencer, Debra David, Gregory Myers, Patricia Cummings, Robin Esler, and Judith Brown; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Memorials may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
