Kenneth Ray Anderson went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 24, 2020 at Baptist Health Springhill at the age of 73 from complications of Alpha One. He was born on October 4, 1946 in Batesville, Arkansas to Marjorie Gardner Anderson and Vernie Paul Anderson.
Kenneth went to school in several locations including Zaragoza, Spain, Jacksonville and Newark, Arkansas as his father served in the Air Force. Upon graduating from Newark High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving in Seoul, South Korea and Bien Hoa, South Vietnam. He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1974 with a degree in Banking & Finance and later attended UALR. He worked at Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield, Arkansas Dept of Finance & Administration (Tax Division), and National Investors before retiring after 23 years from Jacksonville Waterworks as General Manager in 2008. He was a member of the Arkansas and the American Water Works & Waste Environmental Associations along with the Arkansas Water Managers Association. He was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Kenneth is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jo Karen of Jacksonville; daughter: Ashley (Travis) Hooper of Jacksonville; grandchildren: Tyler (Kaylee) Hooper of Conway and Abigail Hooper. He is also survived by a sister: Marcelynn Keeling of Bentonville and brothers: Carl Anderson of Beebe and Richard Anderson of Jacksonville. He is predeceased by his parents and brother: Robert Anderson.
Service will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at Second Baptist Church in Jacksonville with visitation prior to the service from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Cemetery in Jacksonville. Arrangements by Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home, 501-982-2136.
