Allison B. Arrowood (98), formerly of Gassville, AR, went to be with the Lord December 4, 2015, in Normal, IL. She was born January 20, 1917, in Missoula, MT, the daughter of Warren and Mabel Brock Selway. She married Virgil Arrowood on September 14, 1943, in Denver, CO. They served churches in Colorado and Minnesota, as well as teaching in two Bible colleges. In 1980 they moved to Gassville. They were members of Grace Baptist Church in Gassville, and later were members of Calvary Bible Church in Midway. Allison enthusiastically used her God-given talents as a musician and children's worker, and faithfully served and witnessed until her last days.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Robert, her husband, and their son, Carl.
She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn (Jerry) Williams of Bloomington, IL; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Graveside service and entombment will be 10 a.m. December 22, 2015 at Kirby Tucker Memorial Cemetery in Mountain Home, AR. with Pastor Roy Crane officiating.
A memorial service will be held December 29 at 6:30 p.m. at Bible Baptist Church, 804 Four Seasons Road, Bloomington, IL. Memorial Donations may be made to Bible Baptist Church.
Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
