Private Family Funeral and Graveside Services for Sylvia Laksonen of Mountain Home, Arkansas, were held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 16, 2014, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery Open-Air Chapel, with Dr. Terry Moser officiating.

Sylvia passed away September 13, 2014, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, at the age of 98. She was born November 24, 1915, in Trumann, Arkansas, the daughter of Arthur and Cora Lee Glisson White. She married Isaac "Ike" in 1951, and was a Cosmetic Electronica for Burroughs. Sylvia lived in Mountain Home, until she moved to Jonesboro, Arkansas, to be closer to family. She was a member of the Elks Lodge #1714 BPOE, American Legion Post #52, and the Ozark V.F.W. Post #3246. She enjoyed playing Bingo.

Sylvia is survived by her two nephews, Bill (Carol) Clark of Trumann, AR, and Bob (Peggy) Clark of Trumann, AR; and niece, Donna Kay (Phil) Martindale of Hewitt, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Doneld E. Smith; brother, Willie White; and two sisters, Lucille Adams, and Ruby Clark.

Entombment is in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
