A Graveside Service for James Robert Berkheiser of Lakeview, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Donnie Hudson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 29, 2015, from 12:00 until 1:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel in Bull Shoals.

James passed away December 22, 2015, in Lakeview, Arkansas at the age of 68. He was born February 28, 1947, in Mexico, Indiana, the son of Joseph and Alice Mygrant Berkheiser. He married Nancy Gail Morris on September 6, 1969 at Peru, Indiana and worked for Square D in shipping and receiving. James was a U.S. Army Reservist and lived in Lakeview since 2008, moving from Peru, Indiana. He was a member of the Bull Shoals United Methodist Church and enjoyed boating on Bull Shoals Lake, gardening, baking pies and cookies. James' love of NASCAR Racing took him on his final chase to Homestead, Florida in November.

James is survived by his wife, Gail Morris of Lakeview, AR; two daughters, Neisha (Rodney) Gross of IN and Kylene Jennings of IN; six grandchildren, Julia and Landon Gross, Brayden, Noah, Ryley and Kyle Jennings and four brothers, Bill (Judy) Berkheiser, Charles "Doug" Berkheiser, Donnie (Emma) Berkheiser all of IN and Floyd (Nancy) Berkheiser of FL and in-laws Staten and Nancy Morris of Lakeview, AR.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister-in-law, Sharon Berkheiser.

Memorials may be made to the Bull Shoals Food Pantry or the Bull Shoals Theater of the Arts.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
