Clara (BB) Harkreader, age 80, of Hartman Arkansas, was born to Arnold and Gladys Johnson on 12 February 1940.
She departed her earthly dwelling on 14 September 2020 surrounded by her family.
BB was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She was always a joy to be around with her infectious smile and loveable humor. She loved her family more than anything in the world. She also loved to fish, and spent many hours on the water, whether it be the Arkansas River or the many lakes, ponds, and strip pits around Johnson County. She was an avid gardener, and along with her husband, Donald Lee, tended a huge garden where they shared their harvest with family and friends. She loved to cook and was always willing to set an extra plate for anyone that came along.
She was preceded in death by her parents Arnold Johnson and Gladys (Lancaster) Johnson, two sisters Ruth Fultz & Lila Johnson and two brothers Thomas Johnson and Hector Johnson.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Donald Lee Harkreader Sr. of Hartman, her two sons Donald (Donnie) Harkreader Jr and wife, Karla of Ludwig, Doug Harkreader of Hartman; grandchildren, Donald (Dondi) Harkreader III & wife Dana of Clarksville, Raymond (Jamey) Harkreader of Clarksville, Stacey Fowler & husband Allen of Hartman, Jessica Matthews & husband Seth of New Caney, Texas and Kimberly McLemore of Muncie, IN; 10 great-grandchildren, 2 brothers Charles (Chig) Johnson and Junior Johnson, one sister Francis (Tootle) Kohrs.
Open viewing is from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2020 at the Hardwicke Chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas.
A graveside service is at 10 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2020 at Hartman Cemetery in Hartman, Arkansas. Pallbearers are George Ray Whittle, Willy Whittle, James Whittle, Paul Whittle, Michael Joe Fowler, and John Michael Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers are Allen Fowler, Seth Matthews, Steve Fowler, and David Harkreader.
