Billy Paul Houston was born July 12, 1936 in Hartman, Arkansas and passed away June 6, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas, at the age of 80.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bill Houston and Martha Houston; son, Perry Houston; brother, Morris Houston; and sisters, Maxine Watson, Nola Hanshew, and Gloria Dobbs.
Survivors include his wife, Iladene “Sug” Houston of Hartman; son, Eric Houston of Hartman; daughter, Nadine Houston Brooks of Fort Smith; brother, Truman Houston of Hartman; sisters, Sara Griffin of Clarksville and Linda Houston of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 5 to 7 PM Friday, June 9, 2017 at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel in Clarksville.
Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Hardwicke Funeral Home Chapel with reverend Bobby Richardson Officiating.
Pallbearers will be Richard Mays, Johnny Mays, Mark Weaver, Corey Coffman, Ron Griffin, Derrick Harderson, Ronnie Green, and Blake Young. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jake Brooks and Lane Houston.

Iladene "Sug" Houston was born on October 18, 1938 in Johnson County, Arkansas to Dave and Vennie Harderson Kimbrel. She passed away on December 29, 2020 in Barling, Arkansas at the age of 82. She was a member of Oakland Street Church and of the Pentecostal faith.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Billy Houston; her son, Perry Dwight Houston; her brother, Ed Kimbrel; her sisters, Frankie Vaughn and Verna Titsworth.
She is survived by her son, Eric Houston and wife, Shasta of Hartman, Arkansas; her daughter, Nadine Brooks of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her seven grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Graveside Services are 2 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2021 at West Mt. Zion Cemetery in Hartman, Arkansas with Reverend Bobby Richardson officiating. Pallbearers are family members.
