A Graveside Service for Gustave William Schliske of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 2:00 pm, Friday, November 23, 2018, at Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, with Military Honors by the Alley-White American Legion Post #52.

Gustave passed away November 19, 2018, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 91. He was born October 4, 1927, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Gustave and Mary Schliske. He married Margaret Van Gemert on September 3, 1949, in Waukegan, Illinois and worked as a heavy machinery mechanic for the Hough Company. Gustave was a U.S. Army veteran of WWII. Gustave lived in Mountain Home since moving from California, in 1977. He was a member of the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 and enjoyed repairing cars, fishing and home construction.

Gustave is survived by his son, Ralph (Ann Marie) Schliske of Mountain Home, AR and two step-grandchildren, Christina and Jennifer Hoonstra.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife and two sisters, Minnie and Margaret.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services - Mountain Home, Arkansas.

A Funeral Service for Margaret Rose Schliske of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, November 4, 2015, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 4, 2015, from 9:00 am until time of service.

Margaret passed away October 30, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 86. She was born December 12, 1928, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of John and Anna Stakarski VanGemert. She married Gus Schliske on September 3, 1949, at Waukegan, Illinois and worked as a factory worker for Baxter Laboratories. Margaret lived in Mountain Home since 1977, moving from California. She was a member of the Alley-White American Legion Post #52 Auxiliary and enjoyed fishing, bowling, bingo, knitting, crocheting, and working in flower gardens.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Gus Schliske of Mountain Home, AR; son, Ralph W. (Ann Marie) Schliske of Mountain Home, AR and two step-grandchildren, Christina and Jennifer.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Entombment will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Mausoleum, Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Ozarks.

Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
