Gary Ryan Hefner was born January 12, 1951 to Bill and Barbara (Quattlebaum) Hefner, and he went to be with the Lord on March 6, 2010 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Gary was a 1969 graduate of Beebe High School and joined the Air Force after attending college at ASU-Beebe, serving his country for four years.

He is survived by his wife of twenty-eight years, Debra; his parents; two daughters, Shelly McIntyre of Beebe and Nikki (Mark) Rippy of Bald Knob; grandsons, Christopher McIntyre and Mikey Kurck of Beebe; one sister, Patti (Gary) Mathis of Beebe; sister-in-law, Amy (Robert) Woodall of Alabama; brother-in-law, Jimmy (Susie) Harmon of Little Rock; mother-in-law, Lucille Harmon; nephews, Aaron (Missy) Mathis and Jared Mathis both of Beebe; three nieces, Heather, Ashley, and Amber; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Gary was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lonnie & Vela Hefner and John & Luda Quattlebaum; brother, Michael Hefner; and grandson, Blake Kurck.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Mathis, Jared Mathis, Jim Harmon, J.W. Lay, Matt Lay, and Jeremy Lindsey. Honorary pallbearer is James Lay. Memorials may be made to the Antioch Youth Group, 2060 HWY 31 North, Beebe, AR 72012.
