Rube Hunt, Jr., 84, of Van Buren, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021. He was born February 4, 1937 in Webb, MS.
He served in the U.S. Air Force, and worked for Cargill, OK Foods, and Crane.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Daisy Hunt; his parents, Rube Hunt Sr. and Bessie Hunt Whitley; a son, Terry Hunt; a grandson, Jacob Hunt; a sister, Altha Dell Enochs; and a brother, Elmer Hunt.
He is survived by four daughters, Beverly Dickerson of McAlester, OK, Lanette Hunt of Fort Smith, Latisha Dufford and husband Robert of Colorado, and Kristina Schrimpf of Fort Smith; a sister, Estelle Harwell of San Antonio; a brother, Leo Hunt and wife Diane of Rogersville, TN; a sister-in-law, Ruth Hunt of Iuka, MS; seven grandchildren, Travis Dickerson, Tracie Lowmiller (Jared), Taylor Dickerson, Dustin Hunt (Andie), Leigha Singleton, Paul Dufford, and Calen Hunt; five great-grandchildren, Jace Lowmiller, Talon Lowmiller, Saelah Thiel, Elliot Hunt, and Brycen Cole; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2021 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Highland Cemetery in Ozark, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be Travis Dickerson, Dustin Hunt, Paul Dufford, Calen Hunt, and Jared Lowmiller.

Daisy Lois Hunt, 78, of Fort Smith, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021.
She was born August 11, 1942 in Cass to Lester and Anna Conley.
She was a full time wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Hunt; a grandson, Jacob Hunt; a sister, Ruby Short; and five brothers, Wayne, Bill, Fred, Jimmy, and Joe Conley.
She is survived by her husband, Rube Hunt of the home; four daughters, Beverly Dickerson of McAlester, Lanette Hunt of Fort Smith, Latisha Dufford and husband Robert of Colorado, and Kristina Schrimpf of Fort Smith; a brother, Bobby Conley and wife Sandi of Fort Smith; seven grandchildren, Travis Dickerson, Tracie Lowmiller and husband Jared, Taylor Dickerson, Dustin Hunt and wife Andie, Leigha Singleton, Paul Dufford, and Calen Hunt; and four great-grandchildren, Jace Lowmiller, Talon Lowmiller, Saelah Thiel, and Elliott Hunt; and soon to arrive, Brycen Cole.
