James Edward Hicks age 69, of Ozark, Arkansas died Thursday, August 12, 2021. He was an employee of the Street Department for the City of Ozark and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was born September 23, 1951 in Clarendon, Arkansas to James and Edna Allen Hicks. He is preceded in death by his parents.
James is survived by five sons, Jeremey Hicks and Allen Hicks both of Florida, Jason Hicks, Jamey Hicks and Samuel Gregory all of Arkansas; a daughter, Kelli Hicks of Arkansas; three brothers, Richard Hicks and Timothy Hicks both of Ozark, Michael Hicks of Green Valley, Illinois; and a sister, Gayle Collums of Ozark.
Open viewing will be held from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM Sunday, August 15, 2021 at Shaffer Funeral Home 2315 West Commercial Street in Ozark.
Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 16, 2021 at Highland Cemetery with Brother Jan Akins officiating under the direction of Shaffer Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Michael Brasseaux, Randy Beneux, Daniel Alexander, JD McKean, Robert Gresham and Kenneth Rosson.
