BEEBE — James Henry “Buddy” Fisher of Beebe, Arkansas, passed away on March 8, 2016, at the age of 70, surrounded by loved ones. Buddy was born March 24, 1945, to Rubie and Peggy Fisher in Beebe, Arkansas. He was a retired electrician from IBEW Local 295 and enjoyed hunting and fishing in his retirement. Buddy and Helen attended the Beebe Church of Christ. Buddy was a past Justice of the Peace for the White County Quorum Court. He served many years as Chairman of Stoney Point Cemetery Board.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Helen. Buddy was a dedicated father of two daughters, Shelia Griffin (Joe) and Tonya Dyson (David), a special niece, Emilee Suzanne Stevens (Phillip), and “Papaw” to five grandchildren, Kyler, Grace, Atticus, Devin and Fisher; and three great-grandchildren, Bryar, Kylie and Harper. Other survivors are his mother, Peggy Fisher; two sisters, Linda Ann Pickens and Elaine Siler; and a host of other loving relatives. Buddy was preceded in death by his father, Rubie Franklin Fisher, and one sister, Pamela Kay Bolding.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday, March 11, 2016, at Beebe Church of Christ, with burial in Stoney Point Cemetery. Arrangements by Smith-Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe. www.SmithFamilyCares.com.
